About Me:
Gayla was born in Oklahoma City, but now resides in Southern California. She is a singer/songwriter who was a recording artist on Columbia records as a child, and recorded on the Joy record label as a teenager. Her biggest hit was “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” in 1953.
